ASFAR is a fully owned subsidiary of PIF focused on developing tourism destinations and assets across Saudi Arabia in alignment with Vision 2030.

Challenge & Objective

ASFAR was a newly formed entity that needed to build internal capabilities from scratch. The leadership team lacked access to a strong talent pipeline and internal TA structure.

To serve as an embedded recruitment partner to build ASFAR’s full internal organization—from operations and investment to shared services.

Strategy

  • Assigned a 2-person embedded team, including a Senior Consultant and Project Manager.
  • Worked across 5 divisions and directly with the leadership team.
  • Conducted full-cycle headhunting, candidate management, and reporting.
  • Built job descriptions, scoring sheets, and onboarding processes for ASFAR.

Learning

  • Newly formed PIF entities require full-scope support, not just sourcing.
  • Headhunting and internal system design go hand-in-hand in new setups.
